Kraus & Naimer wishing tree – entering the next round

In December 2024, we launched our Wish Tree idea for the first time. Small cards with wishes from three charitable organisations were hung on the Kraus & Naimer Christmas tree in the foyer in Karlsruhe.

The campaign was such a great success in 2024 that this year, small wish cards are once again hanging on our Christmas tree so that many wishes can come true.

This year, we have decided to support the following organisations with donations in kind or money:

The Karlsruher food bank

Every day, the Karlsruhe Food Bank and its approximately 100 volunteers collect surplus but still edible food from supermarkets, bakeries and other donors.

Whether families on low incomes, pensioners or single parents – the food bank is there for all those who, despite hard work or difficult circumstances, do not have enough to live on.  Social institutions such as day centres and overnight shelters are also supplied by the food bank.

Due to rising food prices and higher living costs, donations are declining more and more, while at the same time the number of people in need is growing. For a small contribution towards expenses, people living in financial hardship can obtain food.

Sterntaler Children's Hospice, Dudenhofen

The Sterntaler Children's Hospice provides outpatient and inpatient care for children and young people with life-shortening illnesses and their families as they navigate this difficult journey. The focus is not on the illness, but on life – with all its precious moments.

The type of inpatient facility offered by the Sterntaler Children's Hospice is still unique in Rhineland-Palatinate and the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region.

Unfortunately, children's hospice work in Germany still has to be financed largely through donations, as only a daily rate that does not cover costs is paid for the young patients. Any additional measures such as meals, therapies or accommodation for family members must be financed elsewhere.

Your donation can make various therapy options a reality and give patients and their families carefree moments and memories.

Animal Welfare Association Ettlingen

Since 1932, the Animal Welfare Association in Ettlingen has been providing a home for dogs, cats and other small animals until they find a new one. As a voluntary association, it is primarily financed by membership fees. However, every donation, no matter how small, is helpful!

New animals are constantly arriving at the facility, some of which are very young or sick. This means that food for all age groups is often needed, as well as items for daily cleaning of the facility and for keeping the animals occupied.

The first cards have already been ‘picked’ from the tree, and we are very much looking forward to presenting the collected donations in January. A big thank you to everyone who is taking part!

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you, our loyal customers, business partners and suppliers, for your many years of excellent cooperation. We wish you a wonderful Advent season and a peaceful end to the year, with little worry and lots of happiness, joy and good health for the coming year 2026!

We will be closed from 23 December 2025 to 6 January 2026. The last shipping day is 18 December 2025.
We will be happy to be there for you again from 7 January!
